ART WORKSHOPS, RETREATS & COURSES
We will be offering a wonderful range of art events throughout the year at Maison de Fort, in the beautiful surrounding countryside and the Bastide villages of Lot & Garonne.
GRAND STUDIO & EXHIBITION SPACE
The Grand Studio has its own dedicated print space, printing press and free standing easels, It is fully stocked and equipped for workshops and courses. White walls and space for art evenings, talks, life drawing and art exhibitions are also available.
Day Art Workshops
From printing, painting, pastels or drawing – over the year one day art workshops will be available to book. The day will commence at 10 am and finish at 5 pm with a delicious lunch served together with a local regional wine to help the inspiration flow.
All materials and full tuition are included. Sessions are suitable for beginners and improvers.
Life Drawing Sessions
The Grand Studio is the ideal large space to host life drawing classes. These classes will be a regular fixture on the Manoir calendar of events and can be booked in blocks of 3 classes at a time.
Full tuition will be given at every stage of drawing, whether you are a beginner or improver. All materials and models are provided together with a glass of wine, coffee, tea or cold refreshment included in the fee.
Art Classes
The Manoir will hold a 3 hour morning or afternoon class based on a variety of changing themes throughout the year.
Here is just a taste of some of the themes covered:-
- Learning to use charcoal
- Learning to paint in the style of the Impressionists
- Learning to lino print
- Oil and soft pastel art class
- Improving your pencil drawing and graphite techniques
- Painting and colour mixing with acrylics
- Learning to print – monoprints, stencils, lino
- Landscape painting
- And much more..

Bespoke Classes, Private Tuition, Groups
The Manoir has a smaller studio available if you are looking to book a 2 hour private one to one lesson with Leesa to tackle any areas of art you may be struggling with. How to paint the sea or clouds? How to draw a portrait? How to use soft pastels?

Group Bookings
If you are a group of friends or family who live locally or are holidaying together and are looking for something different to do then Maison du Fort is the ideal place to come and get creative.

Art Expositions and Exhibitions
The Grand Studio will open its doors during the year for art exhibitions. Work will be on show from resident artist Leesa Le May www.leesalemayart.com together with guest artists from the local area and the UK.
