Throughout the year Maison du Fort offers a wonderful range of art events in and around the beautiful bastide villages of the Lot et Garonne region of South West France. We run regular art classes and workshops for adults and kids in our main studio and within the Lauzun Ateliers in Lauzun.
WEEKLY ART CLASSES FOR ADULTS
EVERY TUESDAY 9.30am – 12.30pm and 1.30pm – 4.30pm
We run a morning and an afternoon class. Both are fully tutored and perfect for beginners and those looking to improve their skills and meet new friends. Classes have stopped for the summer and will begin again on 7th October 2025.

EVERY WEDNESDAY MORNING 10am – 12 pm
Let your budding artist enjoy getting creative in a professional studio with resident artist Leesa le May

- Suitable for ages 5 and over

One Day Art Workshops
Throughout the year we run a series of one day art workshops
Tuesday 16 September 9.30am – 4pm €85
Print, People and Pen – a mixed media workshop
A fun colourful workshop creating a mixed media piece of art. We begin by exploring with inks and layering up to create colourful abstract backgrounds. Learning to draw and the mono print technique. Finally using paint and pen work to complete your composition. A light workshop for beginners and improvers. All materials included and a delicious 2 course lunch with regional wines. 9.30 am – 4pm
Thursday 18 September 2025 9.30 – 4pm €85
Jigsaw Lino Printing – colourful and creative
learn how to make linocut prints with two or more colours using the jigsaw technique. All materials and lunch with regional wines is included

The Manoir has a smaller studio available if you are looking to book a 2 hour private one to one lesson with Leesa to tackle any areas of art you may be struggling with.

Life Drawing
The grand studio is the ideal large space to host life drawing classes. These classes will be a regular fixture on the Manor calendar of events and can be booked in blocks of 3 classes at a time.
Full tuition will be given at every stage of drawing, whether you are a beginner or improver. All materials and models are provided together with a glass of wine , coffee, tea or cold refreshment included in the fee.

Grand Studio and Exhibition Space Hire
The grand studio has its own dedicated print space, printing press and free standing easels. It is fully stocked and equipped for workshops and courses. White walls and space for art evenings, talks, life drawing and art exhibitions are also available.

The Grand Studio opens its doors during the year for art exhibitions with work on show from resident artist Leesa Le May www.leesalemay.co.uk together with guest artists from the local area and the UK.
