As 2024 draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on a journey that has been as challenging as it has been rewarding. French bureaucracy, with its labyrinth of paperwork and visa processing, has been a formidable opponent in my quest to set up my business in France. At times, it felt like I was navigating an endless sea of forms, documents, and requirements — a true test of patience and resilience.
The highlight of my year came on December 23rd, just in time for Christmas, when I received the news I had been waiting for: a big fat “yes” and my official Siret number! This vital piece of paperwork means that I can officially work in France and finally move forward with my business plans. It was an incredible relief, a milestone that marked the end of a long and arduous process.
I owe a massive thank you to the wonderful Sasha at Living French, who was instrumental in guiding me through the complexities of French regulations. Her support was invaluable, providing a professional and caring approach that made the seemingly insurmountable challenges feel manageable. Without her expertise and encouragement, I would have struggled far more than I did.
Now, as I turn my gaze toward 2025, I am filled with excitement and anticipation. With the Siret number secured, I can finally announce that my business is poised to open its doors for art retreats, workshops, and classes. It’s a dream come true to share my passion for art in such a beautiful setting, and I can’t wait to welcome participants eager to immerse themselves in creativity.

In the coming weeks, I will be updating the website with prices and dates, making it easier for you to book your spot. Marketing is now on the agenda, and I’m feeling the pressure to get it all right — just two more rooms to create, and we’ll be ready for our first guests!
